U.S. Net Capital Outflows at $48B in March

NEW YORK -- Net overall U.S. capital flows reversed sharply in March to show outflows of $48.2 billion after a revised $48.9 billion inflow in February, the U.S. Treasury Department said on Thursday.

February's net inflow was originally reported a month ago at $64.1 billion.

Net long-term capital inflows, however, totaled $80.4 billion, compared with $64.9 billion of inflows in February.
